Accountability and the Arts: Basics of Grants
SEATTLE - The Shunpike is excited to announce the next installment of their successful “Accountability & the Arts” series. “Basics of Grants” will focus on what kinds of grants are available to local arts companies and where grants fit into a complete fundraising strategy. The workshop will be held Monday, December 4th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. It is geared towards small and mid-sized arts organizations who are interested in improving their fundraising.
Every artist and arts organization wants and needs grants, but first you need to know what grants are out there, as well as what sorts of projects and companies are eligible. Our guest speaker will be Melissa Hines, Director of Civic Partnerships at the Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.

The series launched in April 2005 with a public forum on the concept of accountability, and has continued bimonthly ever since.
